Marx and Engels believed that given the right conditions, the cycle of oppression would stop. Theirs’ was a flawed philosophy. They did not understand the true state of the human condition. Their revolution merely allowed a small segment of the oppressed classes to become oppressors. They continued the cycle of upheaval that characterizes this predatory age of humanity.
